Marianne is anenergetic, solutions-oriented, and highly motivated executive with two decades of healthcare experience. Her more than 15 years of extensive operational experience is in the global Bio-Pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record in global and domestic commercialization across a variety of therapeutic areas, in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
In her most recent corporate position, as Vice President at Bayer Healthcare, Marianne was responsible for the formation and establishment of a newly created business unit, and for eventually integrating two teams into one. That team became the highest revenue business unit at Bayer Pharmaceuticals in the US. With a strong focus on Healthcare Reform, Marianne also chaired the committee for Public Policy and U.S. State Government Affairs and heading the U.S. Planning Process Improvement Project and Global and U.S. restructuring project..
Marianne has spent a great deal of her career in highly specialized product categories requiring in-depth knowledge of reimbursement, clinical services and ancillary care. She also has five years of experience working in hospitals as well as three years in an out-patient clinical setting as a healthcare provider. Marianne has responded to the needs of diverse situations and partners, and has addressed complex issues by coordinating multiple teams, functions and resources at Schering-Plough, Elan Pharmaceutical, Altana Pharma, Solvay Pharmaceuticals (now Abbott Labs), and Bayer Healthcare. She is highly experienced and comfortable working in multinational, multicultural and multifunctional business environments. Marianne is also a confident communicator and presenter at the highest level, providing guidance and recommendations to customers, partners, senior management and the Executive Board.
Marianne's expertise in commercial operations ranges from early-stage to end of lifecycle, including Strategic Marketing and New Product Planning, In-line Marketing and Tactical Planning, Life-cycle Management, Sales Force Effectiveness, Product Valuations and Due Diligence. She has in-depth exposure to all areas of business operations including Clinical/Medical, Sales, Regulatory, Reimbursement, Manufacturing, Supply-Chain and Finance.
Marianne holds a Postgraduate Diploma/MSc from the City University of London, England in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Med and Psychology from Auburn University, Auburn, AL, where she had a double major in physics and chemistry.
