Christie has over 20 years of experience within a variety of roles at GE Capital, Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC, SciQuest, GPI/CARQUEST, and Biogen Idec. During the tenure of past-chair Jack Welch, she held a variety of positions in customer service, operations, sales, business process reengineering (e.g., Work-out/Best Practices), employee & customer training & development, organizational development, and organizational effectiveness/leadership development.
A master trainer and facilitator of GE's legendary Work-Out and Change Acceleration Process (CAP) models, Christie was also a pilot member of GE Capital's elite Advanced Leadership and Facilitation Network (AFLN), where she helped lead a Work-Out on GE's widely copied Session C Talent Assessment/Succession Planning Process. She also played a central part in the roll-out of GE's Six Sigma quality methodology in her business, and is a fully trained GE Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
Leaving GE to broaden her experiences and work within different industries with different business models, Christie currently leads the leadership development work (including succession planning and coaching high potential employees) for Biogen Idec's global Pharmaceutical Operations and Technology organization, an organization that includes Global Manufacturing, Global Quality, Technical Development, Global Supply Chain, Global Engineering & Facilities, and IT.
Christie holds three degrees from North Carolina State University. Her doctoral research focused on how HRD professionals negotiate power and conflicting interests in a complex multi-national organization. She is a Duke Certified Executive Coach, a Tilt 360 Certified Coach, and hold a Bridges Change Certification and certification in Crucial Conversations. Additionally, she is certified in various assessment instruments including the MBTI, DISC, the entire suite of Hogan products, all Lominger products, and the entire suite of 360 assessments at the Center for Creative Leadership. In the areas of quality management and change management, and workout, Christie is a GE Six Sigma Master Black Belt and holds certifications in the GE Change Acceleration Process (CAP) and GE Work-Out.

Mortgage Women, the Research-Triangle Area chapter of the American
Society for Training & Development (ASTD), and the Triangle
Organizational Development Network (TODN). A published author in the
field of Human Resource Development, Christie has presented her research
